The Provincial Economic Development Office, through the Cooperative Section, recently facilitated a two-day training on Financial Planning and Budgeting with the Guimaras Island Transport Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GITMPC) on August 8-9, 2024 held at the Provincial General Services Office Conference Room.
This training, led by resource persons Ms. Yolanda Alim and Ms. Jasmin Distor from VICTO National Cooperative Federation and Development Center, aimed to equip the officers and staff of GITMPC with essential skills to prepare a well-defined budget for the year.
As learning outcome , the participants were able to prepare and present the draft of September to December 2024 and year 2025 plans and budget which will be consolidated for review of the Board of Directors and present to general assembly for approval. With this document as guide, the cooperative can better track their income and expenses , ensure to meet their financial obligations, save for investments, and achieve both short-term and long-term goals.
This initiative is a significant step towards financial freedom and stability, ensuring that GITMPC can continue to provide seamless, safe, comfortable, and reliable transport services to the riding public.
