February 13, 2024 – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Office of Guimaras recently held its 1st Quarter meeting with Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers from five municipalities, along with the Provincial PESO.
The meeting aimed to enhance employment opportunities in Guimaras Province by realigning strategies and strengthening collaboration among key stakeholders. The reorientation of PESO Managers on their core functions and strategic planning for the effective implementation of DOLE Programs was a major focus.
Additionally, the Provincial Economic Development Office presented the 2023 Job Applicants Profiling initiative, which aims to establish a comprehensive database of potential candidates, streamlining future job placements and opportunities within the province. The efforts highlight a commitment to optimizing the role of PESO and improving employment-related services at the local level.
