Strengthening Guimaras’ Salt Sector: Strategic Value Chain Training Set to Empower Local Producers

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources–Guimaras and the Provincial Economic Development Office held a productive coordination meeting to finalize preparations for the Guimaras Salt Industry Value Chain training slated for September 2026. The program will cover production, processing, quality control, value-adding, and market linkages aimed at boosting income and sustainable practices for salt farmers, processors, MSMEs, and cooperatives. BFAR-Guimaras and the Provincial Economic Development Office will coordinate logistics, resource persons, and participant selection to ensure an inclusive, market-oriented training. Stay tuned for registration details and schedules — let’s work together to strengthen Guimated as a sustainable, competitive brand for Guimaras!
