Guimaras Goes Global at Food Expo PRO 2026 in Hong Kong

The Province of Guimaras joined the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) Food Expo 2026, which took place from August 13 to August 17, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).
Representing the Provincial Government of Guimaras were Congressman JC Rahman A. Nava, Governor Ma. Lucille L. Nava, Provincial Economic Development Officer Francisco E. Gentoral, and Acting Provincial Tourism Officer Jaypee Kein G. Entredicho.

The Food Expo PRO, organized by the HKTDC, brought together food businesses and industry players from across the region. For the first time, 11 ASEAN member states were represented, opening more opportunities for regional and international connections.
Invited by the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, Guimaras took part in the Philippine Pavilion, featuring its world-renowned Guimaras mangoes—the country’s first Geographical Indication (GI)-registered product—as the main highlight, alongside a showcase of premium mango products from the province.

Through this participation, Guimaras continued to explore opportunities to bring its homegrown products to wider markets and strengthen connections with international buyers, distributors, importers, and retailers across Asia.
