Mango growers, nursery operators, and students from GSU gathered at the Provincial Capitol Grounds last May 8, 2024 to learn from industry experts on how to cultivate plant nurseries that yield the world-famous Guimaras mangoes.
The MANGOES AND MORE FORUM, organized by the Bureau of Plant Industry – Guimaras National Crop Research Development and Production Support Center (BPI- GNCRDPSC), covered extensive topics from nursery accreditation and plant material certification, to plant propagation and nursery management.
Agriculturists from the province and municipalities showed the participants techniques on plant propagation and demonstrated how to organic concoctions supplementing growth without using harmful chemicals.
