In an effort to address water-related challenges, the Provincial Government of Guimaras held a Water Forum on September 25, 2024, at Olivia’s Kitchen and Island Brew in San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.
The forum served as an important platform to raise awareness about pressing water issues, encouraged discussions among key stakeholders, and explored sustainable solutions to ensure clean and reliable water resources for all Guimaras residents.
Speakers from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, Metro Pacific Iloilo Water, and Boracay Waterโa subsidiary of Manila Water Philippine Venturesโparticipated in the plenary sessions.
They shared their expertise on various critical topics, including the State of Water in Guimaras, Exploring Water Resource Management Solutions, and Best Practices in Water Resource Management.
The Water Forum highlighted the provinceโs commitment to safeguarding its water resources for future generations.
